The Club Royale did sink in a storm when it was taken out to sea to protect it from being battered at the dock. The story has it that the chips were left in a safe on shore during the storm. I think the faded chips are a result of early Mfg imperfections and had nothing to do with being in the water. Anyway I'll go with that until someone in Fla comes up with a better one.
