It was 4 Years ago this afternoon that I learned my Dad had less than a month to live due to liver cancer. Strange, the guy hadn't drank for 50 years??

He went from walking 7 1/2 miles a day to not being able to make it to the the bathroom in 2 weeks...

Live your life well, have fun and hope that something like this doesn't happen...He did and I am sure he had no regrets..77 years old..

I am not beating myself over the head with it...but the good doctors word when my Dad came out of surgury.." Mark, it didn't go well in there, we need to talk."

He had just went in to get some gall bladder work done or removed. We had plans to get that done and then hit the Indian Casinos in Eastern South Dakota. It didn't happen...

Worst South Dakota Winter ever...Then the sad fact of Dad going away...A few great conversations then he just laid there...Finally at 1337PM on February 04 he went to his reward...

If you have had the experience of losing a Parent it it is devastating...A Time for remembering..Then the strange thing of having dreams about your childhood and your parents..

If they are still alive, cherish them and thank them. Then think about your kids..We are all progressing along...We aren't going to live forever. Do what's necessary but I have never seen a U Haul befind a hearse...

THomas Wolfe said, "Life is Stranger Than a Dream." That makes sense to me...

Hope all is well with you folks, I'm going to bed and thinking of Dad as I drift away.
