I'm thinking a better experiment is to put a piece of paper towel inside the airtite and then put the airtite between the sun and some water to see if the sun will pull moisture thru the airtite to the paper towel. This would tell him if the airtite is moisture proof which is what he is trying to gaurd against. Just My Opinion
