and I discussed the concept with quite a few people at last year's convention where I helped with the PC display. Some of the ideas shared were...
1. PC's weren't widespread enough to warrant an OTY.
2. Only a phenomen that has been around for a short while.
3. Not many members nominate and therefore get to vote on OTY's as it is.
4. If your OTY nomination loses you go on but if your PC loses feelings can be hurt.
5. Who would be the judge(s).
6. Some very good PC's might be passed over and the member not be able to afford additional PC's in a quest for recognition.
7. What defines a PC? Can it have advertising or just a member's name, number, and theme.
* and, from the thread above...I'd add - could a PC represent an idea as in Katrina relief or should it have only a name?
Tom Hanson, I believe, was appointed to cover the PC niche for the BoD maybe he could weigh in on this thread.
Scott I'm hoping what Mike Pasternack did to my chip didn't alter your picking mine for your final four.
In closing...I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.
