Don, look in formatting up above. You don't put the picture URL in the optional image URL. You put it in the text area, one after the other separated according to the formatting guidlines.

As to scanning I scan lots of stuff onto the BB it always comes out fine. I think you need to do a higher res and then reduce the size!
