Harrah's Entertainment has formally announced that their New Orleans property will officially reopen on February 17, 2006.

When they do reopen it will be very interesting to see if new chips were created to replace the old. I mean they certainly can't use the old chip racks due to the massive contaminated from the receding water polluted by chemicals, human/animal waste and other icky stuff and from posts on this board from chipsters in the Gulf region and in the national news headlines after the water receded in New Orleans & Biloxi a lot of casino chips were found simply laying in the streets or buried in the contaminated muck.
