This is the deal.
I will be bringing my wife and 7 year old daughter to Vegas at convention time next year. We will stay 6 nights in Vegas then 1 night in Laughlin en-route to our friends in San Diego for a further weeks vacation including July 4.
Has anyone else brought a 7 year old and if so where did you stay?
They realise I will be running around during the week and they will have to find their own entertainment some of the time.
Obviously I will be at the convention for 3 days (daytime), banquet, Splashbar , Palms get-together and Poker tourny etc so 50% of my time is going to be at those 2 locations, and I would want to try and involve them in some of the activities where practical.
Issues:
1. Riviera appears not to be child friendly, illegal to leave a child unattended 'upstairs', majority of the building is no children even if accompanied.
2. Palms means I have to drive a lot more and cant drink. Any suggestion my wife could drink soda and drive would be futile However, Palms has full time childrens activities, child monitoring for leaving children unattended providing you remain in the building, and in-house baby-sitters if you leave. The Palms even told me my daughter can walk around the casino with me as long as I am not actually gambling.
(Gene, is that correct? )
3. Circus Circus. From what I read, has the most childrens activities in LV, cheap to stay but entertainment comes at an extortionate price and surprisingly they have no child care facilities whatsoever including at daytime activities.
