Doing drugs is illegal and what Von does is right. Whether doing drugs is right or wrong is a matter of opinion.

There are a number of lifestyle decisions that we all make. Some activities are self-destructive to a percentage of the people who choose them. Does that mean the government should outlaw these activities for everyone? I don't think so. Gambling is self-destructive for a percentage of the people who choose to take part in that activity, yet it is legal, regulated and taxed in many areas of this country. Does that make it right where it is legal and wrong where it isn't? Not necessarily. Same thing with alcohol.

I have no problem with adults choosing to intoxicate themselves in the privacy of their own homes, no matter what substance they use. I would place the same restrictions concerning endangering others as we have in place with alcohol, but then again, I believe it is already against the law to drive under the influence of drugs, be they prescription or illicit.
