...keeping your operating system the same while updating your other software. I sometimes have to network with a guy who downloads every Windows update, and it is a pain in the rear to get our computers to do the same things every time he does it! And, he's a coder, writes code in Windows!

The updates don't make changes that are compatible with their own earlier versions, and the updates screw up compatibility with other programs, usually not giving the user easy ways to fix the conflicts.

I downloaded a service pack once 4 or 5 years ago, and it created more headaches than it could have ever prevented. No thank you!
