The winners love them, the people who lose trying to underbid hate them.
I'm one who more often loses auctions to snipers, and don't much care, because I'll only bid as much as I'm willing to pay. Even with that, and being "cheap" (I say it's frugal?) I still win auctions from time to time.
Since the software is available to everyone, I can't complain if I don't choose to use it.
I do snipe book auctions, so beware if you are buying books about auto racing, because I'm going to have a FREE hammersnipe bid in the last 20 seconds once every few months.
I don't like sniping, as a seller, because it makes just about everyone wait until the last day, minutes or seconds to place bids. If there was a five minute rule, I'd love eBay because instead of being a buyers market, the sellers would get a better return.
Is that as convoluted as I can get? I don't care either way, when I'm buying, I don't like it when I'm selling.
I don't think that complaining will change anything, so I live with it.
