Many times sellers do not know the true value of what they are selling, so they use shills. Bargains can sometimes be picked up for less than true values..., even with a shill in the bidding.
Again, bid what you are comfortable with paying and don't worry about a shill hiding behind every ebay sale because someone is bidding higher than you are.
Talk about paranoia!
