Wasn't that the original name for the company, "The Societe des Bains de Mer et du Cercle des Etrangers" who opened and ran the casino in Monaco before the city was named Monte Carlo?
The holding company that operates the Monaco casinos today, still uses that name. The stock ticker symbol is now BAIN.
Translation "Seabathers & Foreigner's Club"
Many European cities during that era had high-brow salons called "The Foreigner's Club" where gambling, dining and other recreation took place for their weathly visitors.
I guess it sounded a little better than "The Tourist's Club"
(and if that's not what you meant and I replied in error, just ignore me)
