For those that care...

Our team won the Gery Cup (our 13th) in what some consider the best Grey Cup ever last weekend, after placing third in the division. 38-35 in double overtime!

Every year our CFL team has a "locker room" sale and clears out team merchandise, jersies game equipment, balls etc. and season ticket holders like me get to go early. I was in line shortly after 7 AM, the doors opened at 9 and Laurie and I were in the first group let in.

I got a game helmet from Rashad Jeanty, who would have been in serious contention for rookie of the year had he not been injured mid-season and missed a bunch of games. He's a sack machine! He was at the event and I got the helmet signed. This goes with the one I got last year.

So.... here I am, 9:30 in the morning with a game-used helemt, signed by the player... and next thing you know, I am standing with the Grey Cup and the QB Ricky Ray - the game MVP and having my photo taken. To put it in perspective, that's like standing next to the superbowl with Deion Branch, or Tom Brady.

A good start to my day!
