There was a thread a few days ago about the Dunes $100 chip that got the $10,350 bid but was still "reserve not met". If you look at the bid retractions it shows:

chipsbottles ( 685) Not a registered user Cancelled: US $5,000.05

Explanation: Administrative Cancellation Bid: Nov-20-05 01:08:56 PST

Cancelled: Nov-23-05 22:45:30 PST

I would assume this email is some how related to thie above.
