As many of you may know, the next Grand Opening in Las Vegas should be the Southcoast Hotel and Casino. Located way South on Las Vegas Blvd. (The Strip) the Southcoast will be a fifth major operation of Coast Casinos, a wholely owned subsidiary of Boyd Gaming, joining the Barbary Coast, Gold Coast, The Orleans and Suncoast.

Advertising of the Southcoast has always indicated that it would open "early 2006" but I know of restaurant employees who will be reporting to work this December 10th.

I've received an email invitation for hotel accomodation discounting through February and when called they will only allow booking on or after 29 December!

The talk around the several properties is that there will be a "soft opening" on December 15th. I also have another source of information that advises that dealers are to report December 19th.

Well, I know its rather fluid, but it sure looks to be more sooner than later!
