Bob Mera was "Mr. Atlantic City". His well-known chip outlets on the A.C. Boardwalk were legendary meeting places for chippers to hang out and bid on chips and purchase chips at retail with "Bob Bucks".

Bob was the top recruiter for CCGTCC membership contests for several years and he pioneered the former Atlantic City Chapter of CC & GTCC.

A Viet Nam vet; Bob suffered from exposure to agent orange poisoning and passed away from leukemia at the young age of 49.
