I have been to both casinos, the Diamond Palace in Puerto Rico and the Diamond Casino in St. Maarten. This chip is not from either casino, unless it was very recently issued. Which is not the case, because Gene says that he has had it for over 5 years. There is no Diamond Casino in Puerto Rico, it is the Diamond Palace. I have no idea where Gene's chip is from, but is definitely not from Puerto Rico or St. Maarten. If I had to guess, the artwork on the chip is more like the Diamond casino that was in the Holiday Inn in Reno. But that is also unlikely because they only used Chipco's in that casino. So who knows?

And St. Maarten is one of two Caribbean islands that are host to two different countries. On St. Maarten, there is the French side - Saint Martin and the Dutch side, Sint Maarten. Separate countries with a border to cross to go from one side to the other. There is only gambling on the Dutch side. The other island is Hispanola which is home to the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
