I had a similar problem earlier this week. My expired Nortons drivers de-activated and bound everything up. I uninstalled the entire Nortons program and all seems to have cleared up. Went to McAfees and installed their virus protection and all seems to be running fine now.

May work if you want to try it. Be sure to install some type of reliable virus protection however. Good Luck!
