This chip was used on an Off Shore boat anchored off of Santa Monica,CA. during the late 1930's. I guess the then Attorney General of CA the late Earl Warren decided that enough was enough, and went out to the boat and had it sunk Everything went to the bottom, slots, tables, and the chips. Not many of these survived as you can guess. So far this is the only CA Large Crown Chip that I have been able to find that is listed in TCR 10. Probably because of it's Historic value and also to reference it to the REX CLUB that was opened by the owners of the SS REX after it went to Davey Jones's Locker. If I have any of this story inacurate PLMK, and the rest of the board I don't want any missleading information getting around.*vbg* Also notice the cross hatching on this chip, TR King didn't do very many, most were smooth finish. Sorry for the huge scan but my photo editor is acting weird this AM.
