I'd have to say that's true, in that what David does is clearly known by his customers. What his customers might do afterward is where there is a potential for fraud, and that's where there is a need for disclosure whenever such items exchange hands.
I met David for the first time last weekend and asked him quite a few questions. He was an open book, answered all of my questions with what I believe to be complete honesty. I truly did enjoy talking to him.
For what its worth, I'm having a couple metal (one brass, one pewter) core chips "customized" for my own collection, and I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished job.
