was one I'll never forget for two reasons.
First, my first night in Vegas is always late. I think I called in "early" once and went to bed around 3:00. This trip was no exception to the rule and I rolled in to my bed at about 5:30 or so. Not long after, the staff started cleaning rooms. Do you know how they transport linens to be washed? They put them in big bags and throw them down from the second floor. When you are asleep, it sounds like a gun going off when one of those big heavy bags hits the deck. I dove for the floor on the first one and then listened to two more before fully waking up and braving my way to the window. I felt silly and very, very relieved!
Second, on my last night there, I learned how thin the walls were. Ever see the scene in the movie "The Cooler" where the guy's bed shakes because the neighbors are having sex in the next room? Well, that happened to me at the Ho. There were a lot of appeals to the Lord. I called them to make sure everything was okay. My concerned phone call wasn't appreciated for some reason.
