The NCV cancellation was removed so that the chip would appear not to been cancelled. There is a vast difference in cleaning a dirty chip and removing a cancellation. The intentention was to deceive and no chip will remain in the possession of an owner forever. Sometime in the future, someone will be stung.

Doug Saito is in the process of selling my chip collection. Many of them have been cancelled and are marked as so. I am bothered by a few that have had the cancellations removed. They are marked as having the cancellations removed, as is the case of this Ebay seller, but we don't know what the next seller will reveal. As I understand the current restrictions by our fine club, there is no harm in selling altered chips as long as the alteration is disclosed. If it is revealed that my assumption is incorrect, then I will withdraw the chips from the sales.
