I'm in! This sounds similiar to a "Travel Bug" that we use on the Geocaching site, (geocaching.com).
You should include the "where I've been sheet", and folks should not "mummify" the envelope with packing tape!
Since the front of the envelope will bear the brunt of the removal of labels and postage, the reverse should be left clear for folks to write the date received and location. Should this area become unuseable then the info should be transeffered and sent inside with the other sheet.
