As as worker for several years in the florida casino cruise industry, i have noticed a market for obsolete casino cheques. A vessel that no longer exists, called Stardancer, had an entire set made by Chipco (over 20,000 cheques) which were never used since the company folded before the new vessel could be launched. The set was intended to service about 12 blackjack tables, roulette, craps, let it ride, and carribean stud. Assets of the company were sold off in lots, and no stardancer vessels remain. The set is sealed just as chipco mailed it, and the denominations range from $1 to $1000 cheques. Being that there are no other cheques on the market like these (chipco shows other stardancer molds on their website under the protech series), is the long term value of this set better if left complete, or sold as individual pieces over auctions such as ebay? thanks for your help. by the way, very informative site for newbies to casino collecting.
