I’ve only been in the hobby for three years and I’ve found that there are a lot of phony’s. Oh, they seem nice and truthful in person but when given a chance to screw someone over for a quick buck, they’ll do it. Seeing people buy chip(s) on eBay and a month or so later re-sell them as “RARE” when they just bought a box of them. Then of course there is the old discussion on whether to “SLAB” or not. If a person feels he or she wants to send in a chip or token for grading or to buy a chip or token that has been graded, why should they be made to feel their in the wrong ? “They’ve sinned against the hobby”!!!
Yeah, I know not everyone in the hobby is a phony and they don’t shun those that “SLAB” but you got to know that there are more of you out there that have no second thoughts about making a fast and unwarranted profit off those that either don’t have the same information as you do or are just plain misled. I will stick to a hobby that I first got into as a young boy, Baseball cards. So to you that are the best the hobby embodies, I thank you for your kindness you have shined upon me (Allan Myers especially). To those that have no qualms about that fast buck made in a not so square deal. Have a nice life and good luck living with your selves. GOOD BYE…
