In retrospect, it would appear that I was trying to participate in a Contest that had already been closed, albeit under a separate thread.
In explanation, (for my part) I was away from the BBS for three days and was reading the earlier threads in order to catch up. I evidently didn't see that your "Sunday Trivia Question 2" was double-posted and instead of deleting your own erroneous post, you just re-posted the question as: "Opps [sic] Sunday Trivia Question 3".
I guess it was my bad to come across the un-responded to "Opps [sic] Sunday Trivia Questuion 3" and spent some time doing some research and trying to be competitive. Then I posted a reply, to which Tony added the fact about the base-on-balls in four pitches. Not knowing that Tony was the declared winner in the earlier mis-titled thread, nor that there was any winner for "...Question 3" I corrected my response to the correct answer.
I guess it was still my bad to see you reply "Wrong" to my first reply, to which I simply pointed out that a correct response had been provided earlier, within that thread. But rather than advise that the Contest was already closed and that there was an even earlier correct response, you felt it necessary to post:
"I'm just not as bright as you are Jim...".
Initially, I thought your comment seemed to be rather sarcastic. But, not knowing why you would feel it necessary to respond sarcastically to me, and not being certain that you were, I simply asked you to explain what your response meant.
Your posted response completely fails to address my question, so it appears that you must have some sort of issue with me. Therefore, I ask you to please explain, as I do not appreciate your sarcastic comment!
Thank you,
Jim Follis
