I don't get a lot of chance to watch TV, in the evenings, these days, so I hadn't followed this program. In fact, I didn't know it existed until I saw the first season on DVD at Best Buy. I picked it up and thought it wasn't that bad. Like the Sopranos or one of many other cliff hanger type programs, I couldn't stop watching. I thought I would watch a couple episodes then go to bed last night but ended up watching almost half of them till I couldn't stay awake any more. I just finished watching the rest and wondered, with the somewhat open ending, if there is a second season in the works. Anyone know anything of the status of this.
I am a newbie to the poker world and don't know much about the authenticity or believability of the story lines. However, on the surface, I was fairly entertained. I wonder what the feelings are of those who are more into the poker lifestyle. I write here because I know many of you are well into the game.
Lastly, I thought the show had a bit of potential to continue on with it's, somewhat, open ending. I think any rough issues with reviews or with ratings might relate to it being an ESPN production and airing on ESPN rather than if it were, say, a Showtime or HBO program run on a more mainstream or expected venue for a soap opera type drama.
