If you want PayPal to list you as having a "confirmed address", you have to give them something they can check on. A bank account or credit card are the only things they can check by doing an electronic transfer.

You can still have a "personal" PayPal account and have a credit card link; that's what I do so I can pay with credit card (if the seller will accept them). If you use eBay, you must have a credit card on file anyway, and remember eBay OWNS PayPal[g].
