Phyllis,
you are right. Just because something appears on snopes does not make it true. HOWEVER SNOPES AS A WEBSITE HAS DEVELOPED A REPUTATION FOR ACCURACY WHICH SURELY MAKES IT MORE CREDIBLE THAN JUNK EMAILS FORWARDED FROM IDIOT TO IDIOT. There are many more sources which I and those who don't believe everything we read use to investigate things.
Now look at the original post here and see the words "JUST A REMINDER... 31 days from today, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies, and you will start to receive sale calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS..."
Last month when you posted this crap, and I called you on it responded with a post entitled "Definitely not a false statement... "
Of course you post said all this was going to happen in 10 days from 9/8. Did it happen yet? I haevn't received any of these phone calls yet.
Is it still Definitely not a false statement... ?
Now is there any thing in that snopes article you linked to which supports that statement? So what is your point?
What is the point of your cartoon. Are you suggesting that most people here want to read posts of false statements that come from anonymous junk emails?
As far as your cartoon goes, just because people like you, doesn't mean they agree with you this. After our last exchange on the board on this topic I got a lot of flack in posts about my being mean to you (I don't think I was mean, just a bit harsh in tone), but everyone who I discussed the underlying issue with whether in person or by private email agreeed with me about the issue.
Go back and take a look at the posts and you'll see that not one person actually agreed with you, they just attacked me for being mean.
Think about what that means.
Oh and another thing Red Sox are going to lose tomorrow.
