This is not my auction and I am not trying to sabaotage a competitor. His description is not accurate and I wanted to give an accurate description before anyone here bids. I am not trying to discourage you from bidding (I love these chips), just want you to know what you are really getting.
As far as I know the chips are by Chipco (supposedly someone at Chipco verified this). and they do have the typical Chipco gatemark.
He got them from a friend of mine who purchased the chips (all that exist) and then picked out and sold a large lot of the most worn pieces keeping only the best chips. None of them are terrible, small chips, worn edges, lightly faded graphics etc. and I don't know which of the 500 chips he bought he has selected to sell, they could be in "good" condition as he mentions in the last comment posted. But they are not "excellent" in my eyes as a collector and I would be disappointed if I thought that's what I was getting. I have accurate photos of the chips he bought if you would like to see them before you bid.
They are fabulous chips and I will admit that I am thrilled to have recently purchased the remaining "good" lot of these chips. I plan to keep them as a set at this point and have no samples to sell. Sorry. So his price may be reasonable for these examples?
The chips he has are beautiful and these are my favorite Chipco's of all time. Some people think they are ugly, (my dear husband for one) but I am over the moon on the graphics of these chips. The chips he is selling may not be in "excellent" shape, but they are still amazing chips and I encourage you to purchase a set if you feel the same way.
I do not know the seller and cannot offer an opinion on his EBay practices. If you do purchase these chips from him, email me and I will send you a short history on the Huset Casino.
Hope no one takes this personally or thinks I'm trying to piss on someone's parade. Just wanted to share the full backstory on these chips. You may now return to your fraud debate.
