The reason chips ceased to be used as currency in Nevada during the 60's is covered in another post and it's not what you claim. It was done to convince the Federal Government they are "gaming devices" not coins. The records show that the Feds were willing to accept this definition or the casinos would not have been allowed to make tokens.
I appreciate your input though.
