Long, long day at work yesterday and it was a real treat to come home and find the lively replies to my query about The Cobs! Who was it, Rex Harrison, in that musical, who asked, "Why Can't The English Speak English?" Thanks David for the translation and thanks Jason for legitimizing David's post, after all, as far as us colonists would know...

Outside of the volumn of work I had yesterday, I got stuck behind two pretty messy traffic accidents for about an hour and a half total. Usually when this happens the Citizen Band lights up with truckers griping about everything and moaning about being stuck in a jamup. Pretty quiet yesterday though as we were all listening on the regular radio to the Houston evacuation, those poor souls.

So anyway, I'm going to be packing Cigarman's chip with me today and the rest of the weekend. I'll show it to the folks I see today, it'll make everyone grin for sure. I'll tell them I'm doing it to remind myself to keep in mind Doug and Ed and Mitch and their families and the rest of our chipping friends down there in Rita's path. I'm sure we're all thinking of you guys up here but it'll help if they can put a face (and a big ol' stoogie) on you guys!
