Someone showed this sample chip from Progessive Gaming on TCB a few days ago. Here's a close-up of what the circuit looks like.

I think the components are two surface-mount capacitors, a transistor, and an LED. About all you could do with it is light the LED when the coil absorbs enough power from the RF field on the table. I don't think this represents what's in a real "smart chip", just a gimmick to demonstrate there is a field there.
