I just received this letter and thought maybe some of our members who collect swizzle sticks might be interested in.
Greetings from International Swizzle Stick Collectors Association (ISSCA)
The following may come as somewhat of a "bewilderment" with the question of
"WHY"? At our recent ISSCA convention (our 10th) at The Boardwalk Hotel &
Casino in Las Vegas, we once again had the pleasure of having one Mr. Carl
Sutton of Royer Corporation of Madison, Indiana (a swizzle stick
manufacturer) who passed along a computer print out of your recent June 2005
convention.
The thoughts that some of your members may also be into swizzle stick
collecting from Las Vegas hotels and casinos and other gaming establishments
was presented to us by the aforementioned person, and did suggest that we
drop you folks a line or three in reference to this possibility and we also
made your organization known to our attending members during the days of
September 12th, 13th, and 14th.
ISSCA was formed in 1985, and we have a biennial convention in Las Vegas
each "other" year as well as a monthly newsletter to our membership for the
entire twenty years of operation. Additional information may be found at our
