It is my understanding, when you use E-Bay to sell chips, and you DON'T put a starting price or a reserve on the chip, then it's wide open to whatever the chip sells for.
HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED
I won the bids on 2-$25 chips for $15 each and a $10 chip for $2. YES, It's under face value. (3 seperate lots)
Now, The Bidding Ended!!, I was the high bidder!!, Suddenly I received E-Mails from E-Bay
(thinking it was telling me that I won the bids), but instead it was a notice that the 3 lots have been canceled by the seller.
I E-Mailed the seller, and here is what his reply was:
hi
i cashed them in at the casino yesterday. i figure it's much easier that way. i no longer have the chips. the only 1 i have left is the taj playboy 50th anniversary $5 chip. this has nothing to do with whoever was winning the auction or how much it was going for. i cashed them in before i even knew how much they were going for. i was at Atlantic City for the past 5 days.
Now is this Fair??
I don't think so.
There is something fishy here.
A word to the wise:
