If the rules don't forbid it (and that includes the Club's ethical rules and applicable Nevada Law) then I would still not like it, but would expect it.

As values increase, the liklihood of shills and other questionable behaviors will also.

It is should be noted that every item I had an interest in (whether I actually bid or not) went for more than my max. Since I bid several times, yet bowed out before the end, it could have appeared that I was 'shilling' for others.

So I think we need to be careful not to confuse another persons bidding decisions with nefarious conduct. But a rule forbidding it at Club auctions would be supported by me.
