Ron, I just went through this . I bought a Dell all in one because I have a Dell computer and it seemed to make sense but the pinks and oranges all came out white. I just spent $35.00 at Staples.com for an HP scanjet 4600. It is the kind that you can see through while it is scanning and can sit in the frame or not. I chose the HP because my previous scanner was HP and I never had a problem with the colors. I am VERY pleased with this unit. The colors are perfect. I am using the scanning software that came with the unit and I use the Irfanview imaging software if I need to make any adjustments to the pictures after they are saved in my files.
