I think it is. Research it in more detail. Maybe you think Kuwait is a rich country. The average wage is less than half of that in the US.

Anyway, my point was that you are not comparing like with like. The US chose to defend Kuwait for long term financial gain. I neither condone that action or otherwise. It was a political and economical decision. They did not 'choose' to have Hurricane Katrina. To suggest that any donation from any source is a 'pittance' is ludicrous. Approx 100 people in my village raised $7000 over the weekend for the cause. I guess in your reckoning that is insufficient so we shouldn't have wasted our time.

I sincerely hope you are never in the position where a donation could make a difference to your life.
