It has taken way too long but apparently the government is finally getting serious about Katrina. I was going to bid on a HUD foreclosed house yesterday only to find it wasn't available. Today they posted that all HUD houses in Texas, MS, LA and TN are off the market as potential houses for those displaced. It won't house 300,000 displaced people but every little bit helps.
