I just got done viewing the "aerial photos" on www.sunhearld.com of the Biloxi region and the pictures are outstanding. They show numerous photos of the casinos washed up on the other side of Hwy. 90
As someone who lived in Biloxi for 2 1/2 years 90-92 (I was in the Air Force), my jaw dropped when I saw these. I remember 3 x-gf's (non military) and wonder how they are doing and pray for their safety.
Kessler AFB, which is on the other side of the train tracks sustained very heavy damage with over 50% of housing gone and under 6 feet of water.
Sarah (my wife) and I went to N.O. back in 2000 and never got the chance to see Biloxi/Gulfport and now I wish I did.
It's just ashamed that we have to remember 2 of the biggest destructions on 2 different scales in US history in a 2 week time span (Katrina and 9/11)
Thanks for reading.
