The last and only Snapper issued for Hot August Nights was the one done in 1999 by Circus Circus. It also has the distinction of being one of only 2 HAN chips issued that does not depict a car on it. This is my favorite Snapper. I like the way they did the date with the cards.. 8-1999. I don't think they will ever issue another Snapper for Hot August Nights.. why sell a $2.50 chip when you can produce and sell a $5 chip for the same cost? We may have seen the last of the $25 HAN chips too.. with the new issue requirements of 500 for limited editions.. that's a few more than they can move.

I think they were called "Snappers" because in the old days when the dealers paid out one of these chips on a $5 Blackjack they would snap their fingers to let the pit boss know they were doing it.
