There may at best be a handful of people with the knowledge and contacts to write any guide related to the hobby, while I don't know your credentials, the man who wrote the prev message (Gene Trimball) is one of those few.

You may be well advised to listen to the counsel of your fellow collectors, there have been many worthwhile suggestions, as well as aspirited defense of a guide that many feel has benefited the hobby.

Put the chip, or chips on line for input, what could it hurt? If you find mistakes, contact the various authors, so that the books are improved over time. Seek a constructive way to confront problems, and work in cooperation, rather than curse the darkness.
