You are mistaken about the River City boats, Jim. They did open and operated on the Mississippi for several months. Uncancelled chips are occasionally seen but are pretty scarce. The chip inventory was sent to Paul-son for cancellation after the casinos closed. Cancelled chips were sold to the public for quite some time.

You might be thinking of Crown Casino, a boat that was to open in St Rose, LA but never did. Their chips are all cancelled and were sold in Paul-son's retail store as well.
