In 1996 when the chips were issued, they had the black denominations. Listed as 1998, in the O'Neal list, but maybe sooner, they changed the printing on the chips and the colors for each.

The "Mohican" got larger, the word "Casino" got smaller, "Bingo" changed fonts, along with the design change. Mostly it made all the fonts about the same size for those three words.

What probably happened was late in 1996 they issued the first chip and early in 1998 the new ones appeared. So the first issue, which was still in play but worn, last year, was only used for about one year, and the current design has been used since then and in re-orders.
