I don't know if they are as recent as 12 years old but Dale does have a section on fakes. The fakes are within 20 or 30 years (I think!!!!!)

As I said before the only difference between the fakes and legit commems is the date of recarving.

BTW, there is a beautiful chip with a picture of a paddlewheel boat on one side and a 25 on the other. This is a legit chip. However it screams RECARVE!!
