Tips & Techniques--
Changing the order of items in your collection listings (Sorting) - The order in which items are displayed in the Collection Listing Grid (used for viewing, printing and exporting your collection data) may be changed at any time.
The primary controls for defining the order in which items are displayed are the dropdown choice lists located in the lower left corner of the Collector's Assistant. The main sort is labeled Sort By and determines the first information field used to sort your collection. Below the Sort By dropdown is an option button which determines whether the sort is ascending (A to Z) or descending (Z-A). Below the option button are 4 more sort choice lists which can be used to accomplish up to a 5-level sort of your listing.
Once set, the sort controls are remembered individually for each collection name until modified again.
If you only need a 1-level sort (use only one information field to specify sort order) you may also set the sort by clicking on the column heading of the desired information field within the Collection Listing Grid. This will sort by the selected column. If you click the column heading again, the sort will switch between ascending and descending.
