of Collecting Small Town Nevada Hot Stamps..
.)Dealers will tell you this is the next hot area of collecting. (Along with a bridge for sale.)
.) Condition does not matter much.(Oh, of course not, if you can just barely see what it says, and add, "It was in the fire, add 40% as an historic piece.)
.) A "JDL" hot stamp chip although confusing could be Joe Dini's Lucky Club or something else...Need I come up with a moniker for "JDL"...go figure.
.)Both books are different...Fallon had a Large Crown "Barrel House" and so did Vegas...Guess which one is worth more...Same chip..."I think,"
.) One book is by collectors and the other is done by people that deal with chips on a daily basis. Go figure. I'd go with the latter.
.)There are alot of unanswered questions since the do it at home hot stamp machines came out. Seems like numbers are a bit slewed from what both books say. Know what I mean "Jelly Bean."??
.) For Example Saddle Club Ely Silver Hot Stamp, Virtually worthless, now ...Since Novich found jillions of them. You know what one book says about them. Of course, everyone has one and if counted probably amounts to more people than the population of Ely on its best day.
.) Most Super Rare Small Town chips that look like the day they were was made...could that have been yesterday??? Think about it...
.) I am a newbie and love small town stuff but the numbers just don't add up...
.) I will continue collecting but I still wonder...
