I thought that you weren't going to tell my little secret!!!
Actually I've only purchased two racks, one at Jerry's Nugget (N. LV) looking for the different $1 chips (Tall and short $1) - that was just visual - no special equipment used...
However, once at Barbary Coast, I purchased a rack of the $1 chips looking for the 2000 version (UV H&C & '00) of the $1 chip - Thus the only special equipment used was a trusty UV light, and YES while I was at the Bar looking at the chips - I got a LOT of curious looks!!!
