I have had this discussion with a buddy of mine who plays just once a week in live games. I have gone with him many times. When he wins, he goes to higher limit games and loses it back. When he loses at lower limits, he just pulls out more money. He estimated he has lost over $200,000 in the last 7 years. It is a good thing for him that this is discretionary money!

This is definitely a problem area.
