Andy is the winner.
Former WBC champion Hasim "The Rock" Rahman earned the right to challenge world champion Vitali Klitschko for the WBC title by scoring a twelve round unanimous decision over Monte Barrett to claim the WBC interim heavyweight title Saturday night at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. Rahman (41-5, 33 KOs) claimed an interim version of the WBC belt as he overpowered Barrett (31-4, 17 KOs) who offered little in return, especially early on. Both fighters, who are friends outside the ring, seemed reluctant to follow up on the all too few occasions when they landed big shots, prompting catcalls from the crowd. Barrett hurt Rahman in the final round as "The Rock" seemed to be somewhat out of gas. It was the best round of the fight. Scores were 116-112, 118-110, 118-110.
